Wolvey, Warwickshire
The original brick built bridge crossing the River Anker near Wolvey had been replaced in recent years with a timber beamed bridge.
As is often the case, the timber beamed foot bridge had rapidly decayed, leaving the bridge in a precarious condition and the footpath closed.
The team at Bison Bridges have now installed an 8Mtr steel beamed bridge, complete with recycled plastic decking and parapets, providing a superbly sound structure that will last for many years to come.
This project involved:
- Removal of the existing timber structure bridge
- Casting concrete abutments / foundations
- Supply and installation of an 8mtr long x 1.2mtr wide galvanised steel structure with a recycled plastic deck and parapet bolted to the above structure.
- Supply and installation of 2 Charnwood self-closing pedestrian gates, in galvanised steel finish.
